We replaced all the cabinetry adding an oversized island and banquet of cabinets in the old dining area.  We removed 2 non load bearing walls, relocated HVAC duct work, electrical and plumbing.  We were able to lace in the existing hardwood floor so it would be seamless where the walls were removed.  This is a stunning kitchen upgrade giving the homeowners a much larger kitchen and much more storage than they had previously.
